I used to think that this type of cooking was way out of my league and better left to Tony Roma's et al. Wrong. This is so easy to replicate at home.
I kind of created this recipe from a combination of bbq ribs recipes that I have surveyed. The result ? Mouth watering good, and the ribs were so so tender. Near competition quality, if I may say so.

You will need:
2 1/2 pounds baby back ribs
1 onion, quartered
1 onion, quartered
1 tbsp garlic powder
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 bottle bbq sauce
Sea salt and black pepper, season to taste
Preparation:
Place ribs in a large stock pot with all of the ingredients, except for the barbeque sauce. Pour in enough water to cover. Cover and bring to a low boil, and cook approximately 45 to 60 minutes. Leave aside for a further 1 to 2 hours to infuse the flavour.

Remove ribs from the stock pot to a clean baking dish. Marinade ribs with the bbq sauce in the refridgerator, preferably overnight.
Bake at preheated oven at 200 deg Celsius for about 1 hour. You may have to adjust cooking time depending on the size of the ribs.
